The Best Temporal Forces Cards

Temporal forces is the latest Pokemon TCG set coming worldwide on March 22nd 2024. We’ve looked at all the cards releasing in the English set and found the best cards. It is the fifth expansion from the current series, Scarlet & Violet. The Temporal Forces set and the Japanese Wild Force and Cyber Judge sets continue to introduce Ancient and Future.

These collections bring back ACE SPEC cards, originally introduced in the TCG’s Black & White Series. ACE SPEC cards are potent, but with the limitation that only one of any ACE SPEC card can be added to a deck. In this set, ACE SPEC cards sport a distinctive magenta design and are available in both Trainer and Special Energy card types. “Temporal Forces” includes seven ACE SPEC Trainer and Special Energy cards, 13 Pokémon ex, two Tera Pokémon ex, 22 illustration rare Pokémon, 10 special illustration rare Pokémon and Supporter cards, along with six hyper-rare gold-etched cards.

Iron Leaves ex

Iron Leaves is included in Temporal Forces as both a regular card and a special illustration rare. This special illustration version of the card features artwork by nagimiso. Iron Leaves, a recently introduced Pokémon from Generation 9, bears a striking resemblance to a stag and has been rapidly gaining popularity among Pokémon enthusiasts.

Eri

Eri is the boss of Team Star’s Fighting crew, the Caph Squad. The Special Illustration Rare is exceptional. The artist behind this stunning card is DOM, who has been working in the Pokemon TCG since the Brilliant Stars set and has illustrated over 20 cards. The colours harmonise perfectly, and the chosen Pokémon, along with the background, effectively showcases the strength and prowess of this trainer. 

Flutter Mane

The artwork on this card is done by kodama. Kodama has illustrated nearly 100 cards, including Greninja & Zoroark-GX from Unbroken Bonds which was his first card in the TCG. This is also the first Flutter Mane in the TCG, It is said to be an ancient relative or alternate timeline counterpart of Misdreavus.

Morty’s Confidence

This special illustration rare print features artwork by Megumi Mizutani. Mizutani has been credited with designing Mimikyu and Hisuian Arcanine as well as several other Pokemon and Characters. The card depicts Gengar, a Pokémon which Morty is known to frequently battle with.

Bianca’s Sincerity

A card earns its place on the list because, thanks to recent sets, Trainer Special Illustration Rares can hold significant value for various reasons. The artwork for the card was done by Cona Nitanda who’s first card was Erika’s Invitation from the 151 expansion.

Roaring Moon

The card contains artwork done by hncl who has worked out nearly 20 cards in the TCG. Roaring Moon has featured on 2 different cards since first appearing in the Paradox Rift expansion. 

Deerling & Sawsbuck

We decided to combine the two artworks into one spot on our list, together these cards are stunning. Both Full Art illustrations feature artwork by Susumu Maeya. The cards feature both Deerling and Sawsbuck in their Autumn Form. These are the first two cards designed by Maeya.

Iron Crown ex

Iron Crown made its debut in the 9th generation, presenting a Pokémon that bears a resemblance to a robotic goat. The Regular print of Iron Crown features artwork by 5ban Graphics, while this special illustration rare features artwork by nagimiso. Nagimiso also worked on the Special Illustration rare of Iron Leaves ex.

Gastly

Gastly - Best Temporal Forces Cards

The only first generation pokemon that makes our list, unless you count Gengar’s appearance on Morty’s Confidence. This card is the first card designed by Fujimoto Gold who entered the 2022 TCG Illustration contest.

Raging Bolt ex

Included in the Wild Force expansion, this card is featured both as a Regular card and a Special Illustration Rare card, with the latter showcasing artwork by Teeziro. Another notable introduction from Generation 9 is a dual Electric/Dragon Paradox Pokémon. Legend has it that this Pokémon is either a relative of Raikou from the ancient past or a version of it from an alternate timeline.
